July 17 (37 weeks)   Any day now!

At our first weekly Ob/Gyn checkup, Tracey found she is dilated 3cm.  Dr. A thinks our son will be born by the end of the week - 3 weeks early.  The low pressure from Hurricane Claudette may have influenced things.  Everything seems fine.  Tracey has done her nesting, and is mentally ready.  I thought I had a few more weeks, and have a sudden panic attack to get ready, but will be OK. Tracey ordered a Body Cast kit, and last night we had fun making this sculpture to preserve her maternal beauty.  Now, if we can only decide on a name . . .

July 1 (35 weeks) . . . . Just Waiting . . .

We're almost there.  The last Baby Shower is completed, the Nursery has been redecorated a zillion times, and we're just waiting for a Baby to live there.  Enter our online contest (click here) to predict the details of the Birthing.  Tracey got a 4-day weekend of rest over the Holiday, while Rich spent 5 days in Ohio for his brother's Wedding.

May 20 (29 weeks) -- Huge

Another visit to the Ob/Gyn.  We really like our Team: Dr. Sally Andrews, and her nurse Susan.  They have been fantastic, and we really hope they are on call when we deliver.

Checkups are twice a month now, but everything is still looking fine.  Tracey can barely see her toes any more, and is up 23 pounds, which is right on schedule!

May 15 (28 weeks) -- The Nursery

Isn't it just so Cute . . .  We hired an artist, and she just finished painting this Mural on the wall in the Nursery.  It didn't all fit in the view, so you need to know that off to the right are two mountain bikers (she in front of he) coming down the trail.

Also, regarding the Baby - he is becoming quite active, up kicking every morning around 4am.  I'm amazed at the big bulges I can feel when he does his summersaults.

Finally, Tracey is doing just great, and seems happy as a lark.  She's up 20-25 pounds now, which is about right.  She gets winded pretty easily around the house, but is still exercising regularly and feeling pretty good.

May 13 (27 weeks) -- Rich's Birthday

We took Grams & Gramps (Tracey's parents) to the Theater (Starlight Express), and stopped to take this photo in their front yard.  While Tracey relaxed at the hair dresser (doesn't she look Grand!), Rich got out for an Adventure Race with Simon, one of our friends and training partners.

April 28 (25 weeks) -- Still Waiting

Oma and Opa (Rich's parents) came to visit for a long weekend, just to see Tracey in her blooming brilliance.  Amongst other things, we got the nursery painted, and opened the first Baby Shower gifts.

March 21 (20 weeks) -- Half Baked Now!

His gestation period if half complete.  But its only been 16 weeks since we found we were pregnant.  So another 20 more sounds like a long, long wait.  We're getting very excited, and inspired by visiting with friends that are new parents (right)

Finally, I've been able to feel him kicking and moving.  Tracey says she's been able to feel his movement for many weeks. He's even on a bit of a regular schedule, with most activity in the evening, and also the morning.

Tracey won't let me post a belly photo, but as you can see from our Anniversary dinner (left), she's definitely starting to show.  Most of her clothes don't fit any more, and she's astounded by the changes in her body. She's right on schedule with about 13 pounds added so far.  Its almost all protruding in the belly, but she's also pleasantly surprised to have added 3 sizes to her cleavage.

Feb 27 (17 weeks)

Our third ultrasound was in conjunction with the Amniocentesis test.  Everything looks fine, and the lab results confirmed the gender (male) and did not find any abnormalities. He was quite active, and we might even have seen him suck his thumb!

Feb 05 (14 weeks)

Our second ultrasound shows an awful lot.  The head and torso are well formed, and the arms and legs are moving around.  And from the bottom, we got a good view and could guess that it's a boy.

Dec 10 (5 weeks)

This was our first pre-natal checkup, and the ultrasound confirmed that the embryo was properly implanted in the uterus.

Dec 6 (4 weeks):

Tracey gave me an early Xmas present when she surprised me with the news.  She took the test at lunch, and confirmed what we were suspecting - - we were blessed to conceive on our first month trying!  A week earlier, over Thanksgiving holiday, she won the "Wish Bone".  Guess what she wished for . . . .
