2006 Triathlon Season for the Priem Family
We still love the sport, but work and family have been taking
priority. Results are a bit short of our standards from a few years
back.
Yet we're still proud to say we did it. It's still an elite group
that are willing and able to complete this test of endurance! |
Tejas Triathlon: June 11, 2006
880yd Swim, 10.5M Bike, 3M Run

Rich: 1:18:32 Total Time
35th of 44 Men 45-49 (80%)
333rd of 613 Participants (54%)
Swim: 16:24 24th
Bike: 30:11 22nd
Run: 29:10 41st
A wake up call on this abysmal performance in the first race of the
year. Too tired to get in the aero bars on the bike, and too much
walking on the run! |
Tracey: 1:20:18 Total Time
11th of 35 Women 40-44 (28%)
378 of 613 Participants (61%)
Swim: 16:38 15th
Bike: 32:45 8th
Run: 27:18 16th
Good bike, but got tangled in swim, and ran out of gas on the run.
Fertility treatment has taken its toll on both the body and the training
time. |

A mental improvement in the 2nd race of the season, but conditioning is
still a major issue |
Tracey: 1:17:04 Total Time

157 of 367 Participants (42%)
Swim: 6:23 10th

A steady race in all 3 events, but lack of training is still showing
But guess what she did two days later? |
Coming out of the pool, a dash to the bike rack |
Tracey started 10 seconds behind Rich in the Pool |
Still Strong on the Bike |
Relaxed and Efficient |
It took a while to catch this young lady who started before me (check the
numbers) and placed 2nd in her age group |
Relieved to reach the finish line a few minutes behind her husband. |

Fat & Happy, but overweight & out of shape. Worst results
ever (57th percentile overall).
Gotta start training again. One bike ride with Cade on the weekend
just isn't enough.
Next year will be better - I promise (have you heard that before?) |
